Nick's training philosophy is methodical and based on making the horse confident first in his program, before raising expectations and asking more. Whether it’s starting a 2 year old and laying the foundation, or working with an older horse that has just entered his program. Nick enjoys all aspects of the process. There always has to be a reason behind everything that is done in training and the horse needs to understand what is being asked of it, to have a successful outcome. It’s very important for Nick that he is a well rounded horseman first and a Trainer second. The physical and mental well being of the horse always comes first, above winning money and trophies.
